We started This is Doing in late 2019 with a mission to offer skills based training to the design community. Since then, the idea has shifted somewhat from live classrooms to video based learning. Since we launched we managed to work with many large organisations across the globe and train over 1500+ designers, run three incredibly successful and well received Doing Design Festivals.
We started This is Doing in late 2019 with a mission to offer skills based training to the design community. Since then, the idea has shifted somewhat from live classrooms to video based learning. Since we launched we managed to work with many large organisations across the globe and train over 1500+ designers, run three incredibly successful and well received Doing Design Festivals.
Things didn’t run as we hoped and found creating a sustainable business model to be out of our reach. We are extremely sad to announce that June 30 will be our last official day of trading as This is Doing.
Many of the team are service designers, and we have spoken many times about failure in our work. This doesn't make it any easier when you're in the eye of the storm, and are balancing so much. Failure hurts. It stings and it's a difficult thing to process.
But we realise that there are times when you must pause, reflect and make the decision on what is best. We believe we have made the correct decision in closing This is Doing.
Many of our key courses are still available elsewhere online, directly from trainers.
Journey Map Essentials, UX Design Research Essentials, Service Blueprint Essentials, Building your Design Portfolio and Introduction to UX - these will run from www.thisishcd.com in the new future.
If you've purchased a course from us, you will have access to all the materials on our learning management system up until September 30 2022.
If you've purchased a coaching programme with us, these are 100% remaining in place until all hours have been completed. We won't be accepting any new coachee programmes.
